Anti Slip GRP solutions for all weathers

Attempting to paint an anti-slip finish to surfaces outside during the winter months is extremely tricky as wet and cold conditions prevent or severely prolong the curing process.

One huge benefit of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic, a combination of resins and reinforcing fibres) products is that they can be installed in all weathers and instantly walked on without shutting the area down for long periods providing they are fixed with the standard double fixing method of adhesive and screw fixings. Any surface can accept GRP providing it is in good condition and reasonably level and the anti slip aggregate offers extreme slip resistance even in wet or poor weather conditions. A virtually indestructible range, GRP offers long term solutions for heavy traffic areas due to the incorporated resin bonded anti slip surface.

The Disability Discrimination Act, specifically the sections relevant to the partially sighted, requires all stairs which are accessible by members of the public should have a contrasting coloured nosing fitted to the step edges and in addition should provide a slip resistant top surface.

Anti-Slip GRP Sheet

The 4mm thick sheets immediately transform ramps and walkways to provide an extremely durable, attractive anti slip finish. Available in Black, Stone or Yellow which provide an option to highlight important areas with a contrasting colour. Standard sheet sizes are 2400mm x 1200mm and 1200mm x 1200mm, however they can be cut down to size to suit any application.

GRP Step Covers are designed to fit over existing substrates and provide an excellent slip resistant surface. All step covers have a highlighted nosing incorporated into the profile. With the nosing dimensions of 55mm x 55mm, the step covers meet the requirements of the current Building Regulations. The Step Covers can be cut to a variety of lengths and depths and combined with the sheets can fit virtually any size of staircase and landing area.

GRP Decking Strips

GRP Decking Strips are the quickest and easiest solution for slippery decking areas and walkways. The strips are 3mm thick with chamfered side edges so do not present a trip hazard. Timber decking and walkways are extremely slippery in wet and icy conditions. All GRP Decking Strips have pre-drilled holes, with screws supplied. No adhesive is required as the design of the strips and the screw fixings hold them tight in place.
