Surface Preparation
In all cases surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from any oil or contaminants. Thorough preparation is required to ensure maximum performance. Concrete should ideally be mechanically abraded to remove surface laitance. If this is not possible the surface should be acid etched and allowed to thoroughly dry before coating. Grease or oil should be removed with FixMaster Bio Clean (or similar degreasant) and the area washed off and allowed to dry. New concrete should be at least 28 days old with a moisture content of less than 6%.
Mixing
Mix the two components individually. Pour the smaller container into the larger and thoroughly mix for 3-5 minutes using an electric drill and mixing paddle, or wide bladed tool, working around the sides and base so all liquid is incorporated to ensure thorough and complete mixing. Once the product is an even consistency and uniform colour decant into a shallow tray ready for application.
Application
Best results are obtained in ambient temperatures (15°C or above) with a medium pile roller in one coat. If applying vertically, two thin coats are recommended. The second coat should be applied within 24 hours of the first coat.
