Surface Preparation
New concrete should be at least 4 weeks old, surfaces should be clean and dry. Smooth or new concrete should be mechanically abraded. Grease, oil and other contamination can be removed using FixMaster Master Bio-Clean or similar degreasant. FixMaster Epoxy WB Anti-Slip can be applied over existing coatings but they must be well bonded and lightly abraded. Wooden surfaces should be abraded to remove dirt (two or three coats may be required of porous wooden surfaces). Not recommended for use on metal or most latex levelling compounds.
Mixing
Mix the two components individually before decanting the smaller container into the larger. Add the measured amount of water (1 ltr for 5 ltr kit / 2 ltrs for 10 ltr kit) and mix thoroughly for 3-5 minutes using a wide bladed tool or slow speed drill. Work around the sides and base to ensure all of the liquid is mixed and the aggregate is evenly dispersed. Once that the product is of an even consistency and uniform colour the product is ready to decant and apply. Decant into a shallow tray ready for application.
Application
One coat will act as a priming and sealing coat. The second coat will provide a uniform attractive finish and can be applied as soon as the first coat is dry. Application is best in temperatures between 15-25°C with a medium pile simulated sheepskin roller. Re-stir the paint at regular intervals to ensure even distribution of the aggregate. Do not apply to a floor temperature below 5°C and avoid washing the floor for 7 days.
